Car
From Kasanka Bat Forest, start by heading south on the main road towards the town of Mkushi. The distance is approximately 95 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Mkushi, continue on the Great North Road (T2) heading south. You'll drive for about 200 kilometers until you reach the junction for Lusaka. Take the exit towards Lusaka (T1). After about 40 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Lower Zambezi National Park, which will involve taking the D145 road. Follow the signs for another 25 kilometers until you reach the park entrance.

To reach Lower Zambezi National Park from Kasanka Bat Forest using public transportation, first, you will need to take a minibus from Kasanka to Mkushi. This will usually cost around ZMW 20-30 and take about 1 hour. After arriving in Mkushi, you will need to catch another minibus heading towards Lusaka. The cost for this leg is approximately ZMW 50-70 and will take around 3 hours. Once you arrive in Lusaka, you can find a minibus or a taxi to take you to the Lower Zambezi National Park entrance.
