What to expect
Athens
Starting from Flat Tyres shop, we' ll cycle on the metropolitan Athens bikelane moving to the heart of the city. Kerameikos Cemetary is the first ancient site on our way. Next up, we are going to 'get lost' through the Psirri district. We will get to see the Town Hall, 'Varvakios' the traditional and biggest food market of Athens. Through pavement streets of Athens, we 'll find ourselves cycling through the unique Plaka district. Reaching Syntagma Square, we will see the Greek Parliament and we will ride though the National Gardens towards our next stops, Zappeion Hall and the Panathenaic Stadium. Leaving the Kallimarmaro we’ll get ride through the Zappeion, and reach the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch. A couple of pedal spins will take us to the Museum of Acropolis located right under the sacred rock of the Parthenon. Time for a small break at the Filopappou Hill combined with a visit at Pnyka with panoramic view to Athens. Next stop, the Greek Ancient Agora and Ancient Roman Agora. We’ll ride through the open market of modern Athens in the area of Monastiraki and through the paved streets of Thiseio we will cycle back to Petralona.
