Welcome to Morocco! Depending on whether you arrive by airport or port, the first day may be adjusted slightly, but the overall experience remains the same. Upon arrival in Casablanca, your friendly driver-guide will be there to welcome you. Pick-up can be arranged from Casablanca Mohammed V Airport, your hotel, or the Casablanca port. Following breakfast, We begin the day with a visit to one of Casablanca’s most iconic landmarks, the Hassan II Mosque, beautifully set along the Atlantic coast. After this meaningful start, we continue north toward Rabat, where the atmosphere gently shifts to Morocco’s elegant capital.

After arriving in Rabat, we spend some time exploring the city, including a visit to Hassan Tower, one of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, offering a quiet glimpse into Morocco’s rich history.

After exploring Rabat, we continue our journey toward Fes, making a gentle stop at the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Wandering among its remarkably preserved mosaics and columns offers a fascinating glimpse into Morocco’s deep historical layers. We then arrive in Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of the country, where centuries of tradition, learning, and craftsmanship come alive.

After breakfast, meet your local Fassi guide for a full-day exploration of the oldest and most fascinating medina in Morocco. Start with the Royal Palace gates and the Mellah, the old Jewish Quarter, before heading to a viewpoint overlooking the sprawling maze of Fes. Visit a traditional pottery workshop to discover how mosaics and ceramics are still handmade using ancestral techniques. Then enter the medina, where you’ll walk through narrow alleys filled with markets, bakeries, weavers, metal workers, and wood artisans. Visit the vibrant Chouara Tanneries, the Al-Qarawiyyin University, the oldest in continuous operation, and the shrine of Moulay Idriss II, founder of the city. After lunch, enjoy free time to explore or rest at your hotel.

Start your journey from Fes to Merzouga, a drive of about 8 hours with stops along the way. Your first stop is Ifrane, also called the Switzerland of Morocco. It’s a peaceful town with clean streets, pretty gardens, and cute alpine-style houses. Nearby, the cedar forests of Azrou are home to friendly Barbary monkeys you might see playing in the trees.

Continue south to Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. After lunch, you’ll see the landscape change, green mountains turn into rocky plateaus and desert-like scenery.

Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara and the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi. A camel ride carries you into the golden sands at sunset. The day ends with dinner, local music, and an unforgettable night under the star-filled Saharan sky.

Start your journey from Merzouga after breakfast. Your first stop is Rissani, the historic gateway to the Sahara. This town is known for its vibrant market (souk), which is less touristy and offers an authentic taste of local life. Explore colorful spices, traditional rugs, dates, and pottery as you wander through narrow alleys and watch the merchants at work. The market is especially lively in the mornings, making it the perfect time to visit.

Next, continue to Tinejdad, a small town nestled along the desert edge. Surrounded by palm groves and desert landscapes, it’s a peaceful spot to stretch your legs, take photos, or enjoy a mint tea with locals. Tinejdad is a quieter, authentic village where you can see daily life in the oasis, farmers tending their crops, children playing, and the traditional mud-brick homes blending into the scenery.

Finally, reach the Todgha Gorges, a dramatic canyon carved by the Todgha River. The cliffs rise up to 160 meters, creating a narrow gorge with breathtaking views. Walking along the riverbed, you can explore hidden paths and admire the sunlight hitting the rock walls, especially beautiful in the morning or late afternoon. The gorges are also popular for rock climbing, and small riverside cafés and local craft stalls offer a chance to enjoy mint tea or pick up handmade souvenirs while taking in the stunning scenery.

Your first stop is Kelaat M’Gouna, the heart of Morocco’s famous Rose Valley. This region is known for its fragrant roses, especially beautiful in spring during the rose festival, but the valley is charming year-round. The surrounding valley is dotted with quaint villages and palm groves, offering a peaceful and colorful stop.

Next, head to Kasbah Amridil in the Skoura Oasis. This well-preserved kasbah is an iconic example of traditional mud-brick architecture and has been in the same family for generations. Walking through its towers, courtyards, and passageways gives a real sense of Morocco’s rich history and desert life. The surrounding palm groves and irrigation canals make it a scenic spot for photos and a quiet place to stretch your legs.

Continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara” and famous as a film-making hub. Here you can see the impressive Atlas Studios (home to many famous films) and stroll through the town to visit the local kasbahs and markets. It’s a good place to enjoy lunch or a coffee break while taking in the desert-town atmosphere.

Finally, arrive at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This ancient ksar, with its clay-brick buildings and historic kasbahs, is one of Morocco’s most iconic landmarks. Families still live within the village, giving it an authentic, lived-in feel. Explore the narrow alleys, climb to viewpoints for panoramic photos, and enjoy the sunset over the kasbah. Spend the night here to fully soak in the atmosphere—staying in a local guesthouse or riad gives you a magical desert-mountain experience.

Take a last stroll through Ait Ben Haddou, exploring its winding alleys and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of this historic clay village. Then, drive across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, a road that twists through dramatic peaks and deep valleys, with small Berber villages dotted along the slopes. Stop along the way to take in the views, snap photos, or simply enjoy the fresh mountain air. As you descend toward Marrakech, the landscape opens into fertile plains dotted with palm trees and olive groves. Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon and check into your riad. You’ll have time to relax and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the city, with highlights like Jemaa el-Fnaa, the souks, and beautiful gardens waiting to explore at your leisure.

Overnight In Marrakech

Explore Marrakesh, the “Red City,” on a private guided tour of its most famous sights and vibrant corners. Begin at the stunning Bahia Palace, wandering its courtyards and gardens while admiring intricate mosaics, carved ceilings, and peaceful spaces. Continue to the Koutoubia Mosque, whose towering minaret rises above the city; though non-Muslims cannot enter, the surrounding gardens offer a beautiful view. Step into the medina through its historic gates and explore select souks, where you can smell fragrant spices at Souk el Attarine, see colorful leather slippers at Souk Smata, and watch fabrics come to life in Souk des Teinturiers. Conclude at Jemaa el-Fna, the city’s lively heart, full of storytellers, musicians, and street vendors. Pause at a rooftop café to enjoy panoramic views of the bustling square and sample local delicacies.
