    From the Huntsville Downtown Square, walk southeast on Washington Street towards the US Post Office. Turn right onto Madison Street; the museum will be on the right in approximately 2 blocks. The walk is about 5-10 minutes. No cost involved.

  • Public Transport

    Huntsville's Orbit bus system has several routes that stop near the Downtown Square. From the Transit Center at 521 Pratt Avenue, transfer to a route that serves the square and follow the walking directions above. A one-way fare is $1.00.

  • Driving

    If driving from I-565, take the Church Street exit and head north. Turn left onto Clinton Avenue, then right onto Madison Street. The museum will be on the right. Metered street parking is available, costing around $1.50 per hour. Alternatively, use the Fountain Circle Parking Garage (318 Fountain Circle SW), where parking costs approximately $0.50 per hour. Parking is free on weekends and after 5 PM in the Fountain Circle Parking Garage.

EarlyWorks Children's Museum, located in downtown Huntsville, Alabama, is one of the largest hands-on history museums in the Southern United States. Designed for children ages 2 to 12, the museum aims to connect children and their families to history and heritage through creative play, imagination, and discovery. The museum features a variety of interactive exhibits that encourage children to touch, climb, pull, explore, and experiment. Signature exhibits include the Talking Tree, a 16-foot marvel that shares enchanting folktales, and a 46-foot keelboat that allows children to imagine life on the water.
