Getting There

  • Car

    From Tirana, take SH6 and SH34 north. The journey is approximately 120 km and takes about 3 hours by car. From Lura Lakes, head south on Rruga e Lures towards the town of Peshkopi. Continue for approximately 15 km until you reach the turnoff for Rruga e Lures Borie-Lurë. Follow this road for about 10 km until you see the entrance to the National Park of Lura on your right. Parking is available near the park entrance.

  • Public Transport

    To reach the National Park of Lura by public transport, take a bus from Lura Lakes to Peshkopi. Buses run regularly from early morning until the afternoon. Once you arrive in Peshkopi, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to the entrance of the National Park of Lura, which is about 10 km away from Peshkopi. Taxi fares may vary, but expect to pay around 1000 ALL (approximately $10).

  • Walking

    If you are near the entrance of Lura Lakes and prefer walking, you can hike towards the National Park of Lura. Follow the marked hiking trails along Rruga e Lures. The hike is approximately 5 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water.
