    From Tirana, head towards Petrelë on SH3. Once in Petrelë, follow local road signs towards Persqop. The site is located just outside the village. Parking is sometimes available near the entrance. Note that the road leading to the site may be unpaved in some sections.

    Take a bus from Tirana to Petrelë. Buses run regularly from Tirana's main bus station. Once in Petrelë, you can either walk to Varri Monumental or take a short taxi ride. Walking from Petrelë to the monument is approximately 1 kilometer.

The Varri Monumental, located near Tirana, is a window into the ancient settlement of Persqop, dating back to the 4th-2nd centuries BC. This archaeological site offers a glimpse into the lives of the Illyrian tribe of the Parthini, who once inhabited this area. The monument is part of what was once a fortified city, strategically positioned on Vila Mountain to control the surrounding roads and territory. Today, visitors can explore the remains of the settlement, including a remarkably well-preserved fortification wall stretching 60 meters in length and 7 meters high. The wall, constructed with an emplecton-type structure, features an external and internal wall connected by perpendicular walls, with the spaces filled with soil and stones. The entrance, still visible, measures 2.6 meters wide. In addition to the walls, the site reveals traces of ancient dwellings, an ancient tomb, and remnants of an aqueduct that once supplied water from Vila Mountain. Walking around the site, visitors can appreciate the craftsmanship of the ancient artisans and envision daily life in this once-thriving settlement.
