Discover more about Mirador Roc Del Quer | Canillo

Mirador Roc del Quer, also known as Mirador de Canillo, is a breathtaking viewpoint located in the Andorran Pyrenees. This modern observation deck, inaugurated in July 2016, has quickly become one of Canillo's most famous attractions, offering visitors a unique experience of being suspended in mid-air, surrounded by the magnificence of the mountains. The highlight of the Mirador Roc del Quer is its cantilevered platform, which extends 12 meters out from the cliff edge. This design creates the sensation of floating above the valley, with the village of Canillo unfolding 500 meters below. Part of the platform features transparent glass panels, adding to the thrill and heightening the sense of suspension. At the end of the platform, you'll find a statue of a man sitting on a beam, gazing pensively over the landscape. Known as "The Ponderer" and created by Argentinian sculptor Miguel Ángel González, the statue invites visitors to contemplate the immensity and beauty of nature. The path to the Mirador Roc del Quer is easily accessible, with a large parking area located a short walk away. The 400-meter path to the platform has a gentle descent, making it suitable for most visitors. Along the way, you'll encounter three totem poles, "Self-generating Structures," created by Mexican sculptor Jorge Dubon, which add an artistic touch to the natural surroundings. These sculptures represent man's will against the immensity of the mountains. From the platform, enjoy panoramic views of the Montaup and Valira d'Orient valleys, stretching from Soldeu to Encamp. The surrounding scenery showcases the rugged beauty of the Andorran landscape, with green pastures in the summer and glistening white snow in the winter.
