Established in 1948, the reserve features diverse landscapes, including forests, lagoons, and the prominent Cerro Cinchao, providing panoramic views and a variety of outdoor activities.

Walking
From the center of Coyhaique, head north on Avenida General Baquedano, crossing the bridge over the Rio Coyhaique. Continue for approximately 3 kilometers. Turn right onto the gravel road leading towards the reserve entrance. The walk from the highway turnoff to the park entrance is a steep, 1.5-kilometer climb. Allow approximately 1.5 hours to walk from Coyhaique's city center to the reserve entrance. Entrance fee is approximately $4.50 USD for adults.

Public Transport
Take a bus (COYHAIQUE / EMPERADOR GUILLERMO, COYHAIQUE / VILLA ORTEGA, or COYHAIQUE - LAGO VERDE) from Coyhaique towards Puerto Aysén. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turnoff to Reserva Nacional Coyhaique (approximately 3 kilometers outside of Coyhaique). From there, it is a 1.5 kilometer walk up a gravel road to the reserve entrance. Bus fare is approximately $1 USD. Entrance fee to the reserve is approximately $4.50 USD for adults.

A taxi or ride-share from Coyhaique city center to the Reserva Nacional Coyhaique entrance will cost approximately $8-12 USD. The drive takes around 15-20 minutes.
