From the center of El Calafate, start at Av. Libertador 1000, near the main square. Head west on Av. Libertador towards Av. San Martín. Continue straight until you reach Av. Los Pioneros. Turn left onto Av. Los Pioneros and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and restaurants along the way. As you approach the end of the road, you will see signposts directing you to Punta Walichu. The reserve is located near the shoreline of Lago Argentino, so keep an eye out for the signs.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in El Calafate. Start at the main square and head towards Av. Libertador, then turn left onto Av. Los Pioneros. The ride is approximately 3 kilometers. There are bike paths along the route, making it safe and enjoyable.
