To reach Valley of the Moon via public transportation, use Tucson's Sun Tran bus system. Depending on your starting location, you may need to transfer buses. A common route is to take Route 6 (East Broadway) and transfer to Route 8 (East 29th Street) at the Broadway/Alvernon intersection. Get off at the stop near E Allen Rd. From there, it's a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) east to 2544 E Allen Rd. A single ride bus pass costs around $1.75.
