Discover more about Hot Springs Mountain Tower

The Hot Springs Mountain Tower offers visitors a chance to elevate their Hot Springs experience, literally. Standing 216 feet tall, the lattice steel tower is the third structure to occupy this spot on Hot Springs Mountain, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. The original tower, built in 1877 by Enoch Woolman, was an 80-foot wooden structure that unfortunately met its end due to a lightning strike. In 1906, Charles N. Rix erected a steel tower, which was later dismantled in 1971. The current tower was constructed in 1982 and opened to the public in 1983. Visitors can take an elevator to the top, where they'll find two observation decks. The upper deck is open-air, providing an unobstructed 360-degree view of the Ouachita Mountains, Diamond Lakes area, and the city of Hot Springs. The lower deck is enclosed and air-conditioned, featuring exhibits on the park and local history. A gift shop at the base offers souvenirs and refreshments. Whether you drive up the scenic Hot Springs Mountain Drive or hike the Hot Springs Mountain Trail, the tower promises an unforgettable experience.
