From downtown Hot Springs, follow Central Avenue north. Turn left onto Fountain Street, then right onto Hot Springs Mountain Drive. Continue along Hot Springs Mountain Drive to North Mountain Loop. The Goat Rock Trailhead is located near the North Mountain Overlook. Parking is free in designated areas along the scenic drives. Be aware that Hot Springs Mountain Drive is windy, steep, and narrow, so use caution when driving a large RV.

From the Grand Promenade in downtown Hot Springs, access the Peak Trail to reach the top of North Mountain. From there, connect to the Goat Rock Trail. The beginning of Peak Trail is paved and then turns to gravel.
