Getting There

  • Driving

    To reach the Goat Rock Trailhead by car, navigate to the North Mountain Overlook within Hot Springs National Park. From downtown Hot Springs, take Central Avenue north and turn right onto Fountain Street. Then, turn right onto Hot Springs Mountain Drive and follow it to the top of North Mountain. Limited parking is available at the overlook. From the parking area, the trailhead is located to the south.

    If starting from the Gulpha Gorge Campground, follow the Gulpha Gorge Trail. This trail will connect you to the Goat Rock Trail. The Gulpha Gorge Trailhead is located towards the back end of the campground. The Gulpha Gorge Trail is approximately 0.8 miles in length and is of moderate to strenuous difficulty. There is no fee to access the trails.
