From Mount Magazine Lodge, exit the parking lot and turn right onto Highway 27 South. Continue for about 2 miles until the intersection with Highway 309, then turn left. Follow Highway 309 for approximately 5 miles and look for signs directing you to the Big Shoal Falls trailhead. Park in the designated area, and follow the marked trail to reach the falls. Parking is free.
