  If you are starting from the Mount Magazine Lodge, exit the lodge parking lot and turn right onto Highway 27 South. Continue on Highway 27 for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 309. Turn left onto Highway 309 and follow it for approximately 5 miles. Look for signs directing you to the Big Shoal Falls trailhead. The falls are located a short distance from the road; park in the designated area and follow the marked trail to reach Big Shoal Falls.
