    Parking is limited to a small clearing near the trailhead and an old homesite. Arrive early, especially on weekends, to secure a spot. Ensure enough space for emergency vehicles to pass. Parking is free.

    From the parking area, walk past the gate and follow the old road. The trail descends to Big Creek, requiring several creek crossings. After the second open field, the trail enters the woods and follows Big Creek to Big Creek Cave Falls. The trail can be tricky to follow in places; look for ribbons tied to trees.
