Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Goris at the main square, known as Vardanants Square. Head east on Tigran Mets Street, which is the main thoroughfare. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Sisian road. At this point, you will see a sign directing you towards Sisian. Turn left onto the Sisian road (H5). After approximately 3 kilometers, you will come to a bus stop. From here, you can either take a local bus to Sisian (check the schedule as they may not run frequently) or continue walking along the road. If you choose to walk, continue for another 8 kilometers along the Sisian road until you reach Sisian. Once you arrive in Sisian, head to the outskirts where Zorats Karer is located. The site is approximately 3 kilometers from the center of Sisian. You can ask locals for directions to Zorats Karer, as it is a well-known landmark.

    From Goris, go to the local bus station. Buses to Sisian are frequent, but it is advisable to check the schedule. Get on a bus heading towards Sisian, which takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Sisian, you will need to either walk or take a taxi to Zorats Karer. The site is around 3 kilometers from the bus station in Sisian.
