Getting There

• Walking

  Start your journey from the center of Oranjestad, perhaps from the main square, Wilhelmina Park. Head east towards the coast, then walk along the shoreline until you reach the main road, L.G. Smith Boulevard. Continue walking along L.G. Smith Boulevard until you reach the intersection with the road that leads to the airport. From here, take the path that leads into the area known as Spanish Lagoon. The lagoon is located approximately 3 km from the main square.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop in Oranjestad. Begin at the cruise terminal or the Renaissance Marketplace. Head east along L.G. Smith Boulevard, following the coast. Once you reach the intersection with the road leading to the airport, turn towards Spanish Lagoon. The ride is about 3 km and offers scenic views along the way.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app. Simply tell the driver you would like to go to Spanish Lagoon, located at F2HH+M77, Oranjestad. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes from the center of Oranjestad, depending on traffic.

• Public Transport

  You can take a local bus from Oranjestad to Spanish Lagoon. Look for the bus that operates along L.G. Smith Boulevard towards the airport area. Get off at the stop closest to the lagoon. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs or ask a local for directions to Spanish Lagoon, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
