The rocks are spread across an area of about 30,000 square meters and vary in size, with some towering up to 20 meters in height.
While the exact origins and age of the Casibari Rock Formation remain unknown, the site is said to hold historic significance for the indigenous Arawak people. Archaeological evidence, including petroglyphs (rock carvings) and ancient tools, suggests the area was a sacred site used for rituals and gatherings.
