Discover more about Tres Trapi Beach

Tres Trapi Beach, located on the northwestern coast of Aruba, is a unique snorkeling destination known for its rocky shoreline and abundant marine life. The name 'Tres Trapi' translates to 'three steps,' referring to the steps carved into the coral rock that provide access to the water. While not ideal for traditional beach lounging due to the lack of sand, Tres Trapi is a haven for snorkelers seeking close encounters with sea turtles, starfish, and a variety of colorful fish. The beach is situated between Malmok Beach and Boca Catalina, easily accessible from L.G. Smith Boulevard. The clear, calm waters make it an ideal spot for both beginner and experienced snorkelers. Snorkelers can swim just beyond the buoys to find sea grass, a favorite feeding ground for sea turtles. Besides turtles, the area is populated with cushion sea stars, eels, barracudas, and other fascinating sea creatures. Tres Trapi lacks amenities such as restrooms, showers, and restaurants, so visitors should come prepared with water, snacks, and sunscreen. The beach can get crowded, especially after 8:30 AM when tour groups arrive, so early morning or late afternoon visits are recommended. Despite its limited facilities and occasional crowds, Tres Trapi remains a must-visit destination for those seeking an unforgettable snorkeling experience in Aruba.
