    From Wentworth Falls train station , cross the Great Western Highway via Station Street. Head south towards Falls Road. Turn left at the traffic lights onto Falls Road. Wilson Park is immediately on your left, where you'll find the trailhead for Darwins Walk near the tennis courts. The walk is well-signposted.

  • Public Transport

    Take the train to Wentworth Falls Station. From the station, a short walk will bring you to the start of Darwins Walk. Alternatively, the 685 bus runs from Wentworth Falls Station to Falls Road near Wilson Park , reducing the walking distance. A single bus fare costs $1 - $2.

  • Driving

    From the Great Western Highway, turn onto Falls Road at the traffic lights in Wentworth Falls. Wilson Park is immediately on your left. Plenty of free street parking is typically available along Falls Road. Be aware of time-restricted parking. Paid parking is in effect in Wentworth Falls , with rates of $4-$6 per hour. A day pass can be purchased for $38.

Darwins Walk, formerly known as the Charles Darwin Walk, provides an accessible and historically significant path from Wentworth Falls village into the Blue Mountains National Park. The walk commemorates Charles Darwin's 1836 journey through the area, offering visitors a chance to follow in the footsteps of the famous naturalist.Starting from Wilson Park in Wentworth Falls, the trail meanders along Jamison Creek, showcasing diverse scenery including open forests, shrublands, and hanging swamps. Boardwalks and bridges make the 2.4km (one way) track manageable for most ages and fitness levels. Bird watchers can spot honeyeaters, shrub wrens and black cockatoos.Along the way, tranquil rock pools and cascades offer opportunities to cool off. The walk connects to the Weeping Rock circuit track at the national park boundary, only 400m from Wentworth Falls. From there, explore lookouts like Fletchers lookout for views of Wentworth Falls and Jamison Valley.**Note:** As of July 2025, the last section of Darwins Walk is temporarily closed due to restoration. A detour via Fletcher Street and Falls Road is in place to reach the waterfall area.
