Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, the Awinya Creek camping area is accessible via Woralie Rd. From the main access point at the ferry terminal on Fraser Island, drive south on the main road (Boorangoora Drive) until you reach the intersection with Woralie Rd. Turn left onto Woralie Rd and follow it for approximately 5 km. The camping area will be on your right. Ensure you have a 4WD vehicle, as some roads may be unsealed and require off-road capability.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  While public transport options on Fraser Island are limited, you can utilize the local bus services that operate between major points on the island. Check with your accommodation for the nearest bus stop and bus schedule. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 3 km to reach Woralie Rd. Follow signs directing you towards the camping area, or ask locals for directions if needed.

  If you're nearby and prefer walking, Awinya Creek camping area can be accessed via footpaths from various points on the island. Ensure you have a map or GPS system to guide you accurately, as paths can be unmarked. The area is located roughly 1 km from the nearest walking trail, which can be accessed from the surrounding campgrounds. Follow the trail signs leading towards Woralie Rd.
