Driving
From Jindabyne, head west on Kosciuszko Road for 3km, then turn left onto Alpine Way and continue for 31km. Turn right onto Friday Drive to enter Thredbo village. The Thredbo Valley Track starts on your right, before the roundabout. Parking is available on Friday Drive. Park entry fees apply in Kosciuszko National Park: $29 per vehicle per day during winter (June to October long weekends). Snow chains may be required.

Public Transport
From Sydney, take a train and bus to Crackenback. Several bus services, including Murrays Coaches and Transborder Coaches, operate between Canberra and the Snowy Mountains. From Canberra, take a bus to the Snowy Region Visitor Centre in Jindabyne, then transfer to a local bus or shuttle to Thredbo. From Jindabyne, follow the driving directions to reach the Thredbo Valley Track. Bus fare from Canberra to Jindabyne is approximately $40-$60.
