    If you are traveling by car, head to Thredbo, which is the nearest village to Kosciuszko Lookout. From Thredbo, take the Alpine Way (B21) heading towards Perisher Valley. After approximately 8 km, turn left onto the Kosciuszko Road, which is well-signposted. Continue along this road for about 13 km until you reach the Kosciuszko National Park entrance. Note that a vehicle entry fee is required at the entrance; as of now, the fee is AUD 29 per vehicle per day. After entering the park, follow the signs to the Kosciuszko Lookout, which is located near the top of the road. The lookout is a short walk from the parking area.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transport, start by taking a bus service from Jindabyne to Thredbo. Once in Thredbo, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Kosciuszko Road. Walking to the lookout from Thredbo is approximately a 13 km trek, so it’s advisable to take a taxi or check if a local shuttle service is available. If you choose to walk, follow the Thredbo River Trail to Kosciuszko Road, then follow the directions for cars from there.
