If you are driving to Mt Kosciuszko, start from the town of Jindabyne. Head southwest on the Kosciuszko Road (B72) for approximately 28 kilometers until you reach the Thredbo Resort area. Continue following signs to Thredbo and park your vehicle at the Thredbo Terminal car park. Please note that parking fees may apply, typically around AUD $10 per day. From the car park, take the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift, which operates during the warmer months for a fee of approximately AUD $35 for a return trip. The chairlift will take you to the top of the mountain, from where you can begin the hike to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko.
