Car
From the center of Byron Bay, head north on Ewingsdale Road (B62) for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the Pacific Highway (A1). Merge onto the Pacific Highway and continue for about 25 kilometers. Take the exit towards Maclean/Iluka (Brooms Head Road). Follow the signs for Brooms Head and turn onto Woombah W Trail. After approximately 10 kilometers on Woombah W Trail, you will arrive at Bundjalung National Park.
Public Transportation
From Byron Bay, take a bus to Grafton via Greyhound or NSW TrainLink. The bus trip typically takes around 2 hours. Once in Grafton, transfer to a local bus service that heads to Iluka. This leg of the journey may take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Iluka, you can either take a taxi or ride-share service to Bundjalung National Park, which is about 15 kilometers away. Be sure to check local bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, renting a bicycle in either Byron Bay or Iluka can be a unique way to reach Bundjalung National Park. From Byron Bay, cycle north along the coastline towards Yamba, then take the road towards Iluka. The distance is approximately 40 kilometers. From Iluka, follow the signs to Woombah W Trail. Make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks, and be aware of traffic along the routes.
Taxi/Ride-Share
If you prefer a more direct route without using public transport, consider booking a taxi or ride-share service from Byron Bay or Grafton. This option is more expensive, typically costing around $100 to $150 from Byron Bay and about $50 from Grafton. Ensure you confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
