If you are driving from the Sydney Central Business District (CBD), head north on the Warringah Freeway. After about 10 km, take the exit towards the A38/Mona Vale Road. Continue on Mona Vale Road for approximately 9 km. Turn left onto McCarrs Creek Road, which will lead you towards The Basin. Follow the signs to the Basin, and you will arrive at your destination. Note that parking may be limited, and be prepared for a small parking fee, typically around AUD 8-$10.

To reach The Basin via public transport, take a train from Sydney's Central Station to Woy Woy Station on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line. This journey takes approximately 1 hour. From Woy Woy Station, catch Bus 28 towards Palm Beach. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'The Basin' stop. The bus fare is approximately AUD 4.50-$5.50 one way. Once you get off the bus, it’s a short walk to the beach area.
