If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the Murchison Highway (B19) from any location in Tasmanian Wilderness. If you are near Cradle Mountain, take the Cradle Mountain Road (B51) towards the Murchison Highway. Once you reach the Murchison Highway, turn west towards Parrawe. Continue on the Murchison Highway for approximately 30 kilometers until you see the signs for Hellyer Gorge. The entrance is well-marked, and you will find parking available at the site.

For those using public transport, you can catch a bus from Burnie to Parrawe. Look for the bus service operated by Tasmanian Transport. Once you arrive in Parrawe, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare to take you the remaining 7 kilometers to Hellyer Gorge, as public transport does not directly service the gorge. It's advisable to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.
