Walking
If you are starting from Graz Hauptbahnhof (main train station), exit the station and head straight down the Bahnhofstraße. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Kaiser-Josef-Platz. Turn left and walk towards the Opera House. Once you reach the Opera House, continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Herrengasse. Turn right onto Herrengasse, which is a pedestrian street. Walk along Herrengasse until you reach Hauptplatz, which will be on your right.

Public Transport - Tram
If you are near Jakominiplatz, take Tram Line 1, 3, or 6 from Jakominiplatz towards the direction of either the main station or Graz St. Leonhard. Get off at the stop 'Hauptplatz' which is the third stop. Once you exit the tram, you will be directly at Hauptplatz.

Walking
From the Graz Kunsthaus (Art Museum), head towards the river and cross the Mur on the Murinsel bridge. After crossing, turn left and follow the path along the river until you reach the bridge over the river. Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself at the edge of Hauptplatz. Continue walking straight into the square.

Public Transport - Bus
If you are near the Graz Congress, take Bus Line 30 towards Graz, Jakominiplatz. Get off at the stop 'Hauptplatz'. The square will be just a short walk from the bus stop.
