Public Transport
From Salzburg's main train station (Salzburg Hauptbahnhof), take bus line 3 towards 'Pferdeschwemme'. Get off at the 'Mönchsberg' stop. From there, follow the signs towards the Mönchsberg hiking trail. The trail leads you directly to the observation deck at Richterhöhe. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the Getreidegasse, the famous shopping street in Salzburg. Walk towards the Salzach River and cross the Makartsteg bridge. Once you reach the other side, continue straight until you reach the foot of the Mönchsberg hill. Look for the signs for the hiking trail that leads up the hill. It is a moderately steep path and will take around 30 minutes to reach the top.

Taxi
You can also take a taxi from anywhere in Salzburg. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Mönchsberg 17E'. The taxi will drop you off very close to the entrance of the hiking trail leading up to Richterhöhe, and the ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
