If you are starting from the Salzburg Cathedral (Dom zu Salzburg), exit the cathedral and head towards Kapitelplatz. From Kapitelplatz, walk towards the Residenza and take the path leading up towards Mönchsberg. Follow the signs for 'Mönchsberg' and take the stairs or the path upward. After a short climb, you will reach the Mönchsberg lift station. Take the lift up to the top of Mönchsberg.
