Getting There

• Public Transport

  If you are near the Stephansplatz, take the U1 subway line (Red Line) towards Reumannplatz. Ride for 2 stops and get off at Karlsplatz. From Karlsplatz, transfer to the U2 subway line (Yellow Line) towards Stadion. Ride for 1 stop and get off at the next station, which is Museumsquartier. Exit the station and head east towards the Ringstraße. Walk straight for about 5 minutes until you see the grand building of the Vienna State Opera. Continue walking along the Ringstraße until you reach Philharmoniker Str. on your left. Café Sacher Wien will be on your left at Philharmoniker Str. 4.

• Walking

  If you are in the city center, such as at the famous St. Stephen's Cathedral, head southwest towards the Graben street. Continue down Graben until you reach the Kohlmarkt, and then turn left onto the Michaelerplatz. Walk straight to the entrance of the Hofburg Palace. Continue walking towards the Burggarten and exit towards the Ringstraße. Turn right and walk along the Ringstraße for about 10 minutes until you reach Philharmoniker Str. on your left. Café Sacher Wien will be situated at Philharmoniker Str. 4.

• Tram

  From the Rathausplatz, board tram line 1 (Red Line) in the direction of Schwedenplatz. Ride for about 6 stops until you reach the stop at Opera. After exiting the tram, walk east along Opernring street for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Philharmoniker Str. Turn left onto Philharmoniker Str., and Café Sacher Wien will be on your left at number 4.

• Taxi or Ride-Sharing

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or ride-sharing service. Simply provide the driver with the address: Philharmoniker Str. 4, 1010 Wien. This option is convenient if you are carrying luggage or traveling in a group. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
