Public Transport
If you're starting from Vienna's central train station (Wien Hauptbahnhof), take the U1 subway line (red line) towards 'Stephansplatz'. Stay on the train for 4 stops and get off at 'Karlsplatz'. From Karlsplatz, follow the signs to the exit for 'Oper' (the Vienna State Opera). Once you exit, you will find yourself at the Opernring. Walk a short distance towards the right, and you will arrive at Opernbrunnen, a beautiful fountain located right in front of the Vienna State Opera.

Walking
If you are near the historic center, such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, you can walk to Opernbrunnen. Head southwest towards 'Graben', a famous shopping street. Continue walking until you reach 'Karlsplatz'. From Karlsplatz, you will see the Vienna State Opera ahead. Opernbrunnen is located directly in front of the opera house, so you can easily spot it as you approach.

From the Stephansplatz, take tram line D (the circular line) towards 'Nussdorf'. Get off at the 'Oper' stop. Once you disembark, you will be directly in front of the Vienna State Opera. Opernbrunnen is located right in front of the opera house, making it very easy to locate.

If you are near the 'Schwedenplatz' area, take bus line 2A towards 'Oper'. This bus will take you directly to the 'Oper' stop. Once you get off, you will find yourself facing the Vienna State Opera, and Opernbrunnen is located in front of the building.
