Walking
From the heart of Patershol, start at the picturesque streets lined with historic buildings. Head southwest on the Oude Houtlei towards the Vleeshuisstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Korenlei, where you can enjoy views of the river. Turn left onto Korenlei and walk until you reach the Gravensteen Castle. From there, continue walking along the canal, crossing the St. Michael's Bridge (Sint-Michielsbrug) for a beautiful view of the city. After crossing, proceed straight onto the Sint-Michielsstraat. Follow this road as it curves to the right and becomes the Botermarkt. You will find Ghent City Hall directly ahead at Botermarkt 1, 9000 Gent.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the nearby rental shops in Patershol. Once you have your bike, head southwest on the Oude Houtlei towards Vleeshuisstraat. Continue straight and turn left onto Korenlei. Follow the canal until you reach the St. Michael's Bridge (Sint-Michielsbrug). After crossing the bridge, stay on Sint-Michielsstraat until you reach Botermarkt. Ghent City Hall will be directly ahead at Botermarkt 1, 9000 Gent.

Public Transport
While Patershol is conveniently located near Ghent City Hall, you can also use public transportation if preferred. Walk to the nearest tram stop, which is the 'Korenmarkt' stop, located just a short distance from Patershol. Take tram number 1 or 4 towards 'Flanders Expo' or 'Zwijnaarde' respectively. Get off at the next stop, 'St. Baafsplein'. From there, it's a brief 5-minute walk to Ghent City Hall. Head southwest on Sint-Baafsplein, then turn left onto Botermarkt where Ghent City Hall is situated at Botermarkt 1, 9000 Gent. Note: A single ticket for tram travel costs around €3.
