Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of San Ignacio, head southeast on Burns Avenue towards the junction with the Western Highway. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction. At the junction, turn left onto the Western Highway (Hummingbird Highway). Walk approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the San Antonio junction. Look for a sign indicating San Antonio and turn right onto the road leading into the village.

    Continue walking straight into San Antonio village. Keep an eye out for local shops and ask for directions to Pine Ridge Road, as it can be easily missed. Once you reach Pine Ridge Road, take a left. The Noj Kaax Meen Elijio Panti National Park Visitors Center is located approximately 2 kilometers down this road.

  • Walking

    As you walk down Pine Ridge Road, you'll pass through scenic areas with local flora and fauna. Look for signs that indicate the direction to the Visitors Center. It will be on your right-hand side, clearly marked, and you can’t miss the entrance.

  • Local Transport (Bicycle or Local Bus)

    Alternatively, if you prefer not to walk the entire distance, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in San Ignacio. You can ride southeast down Burns Avenue, then join the Western Highway, following the same directions as above. If you choose to take a local bus, inquire at the bus terminal in San Ignacio for a bus that goes to San Antonio. Once you reach San Antonio, follow the walking directions from the village to the Visitors Center.
