Car
If you're driving from the center of Gasa, start by heading east on the main road. Continue for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection at Gasa Dzong. From there, follow the signs toward Thimphu. The route will take you through beautiful mountain scenery. After about 30 kilometers, you'll reach Olokha Lam, where Hotel Ugyen is located. The hotel will be on your left side, look for the sign.
Public Transportation
To reach Hotel Ugyen via public transport, first, take a local bus or shared taxi from Gasa to Thimphu. Buses depart from the main bus station in Gasa, and the fare is approximately 200 Ngultrum. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Thimphu, you can either take another taxi or walk to Olokha Lam. If opting for a taxi, negotiate the fare (around 150 Ngultrum) to Hotel Ugyen, which is located on Olokha Lam.
Walking
If you're already in close proximity to Hotel Ugyen in Thimphu, navigate to Olokha Lam. Start from the nearest landmark, such as the National Library or the Tashichho Dzong, and head towards Olokha Lam. Follow the road signs, and it should take you around 30 minutes on foot. Hotel Ugyen will be near the end of the street on the left side.
