Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Paro, start at the Paro Dzong, a prominent landmark. Head southeast along the main street (Pachu Road) for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left fork that leads towards Airport Road. Follow Airport Road for another 2 kilometers, and you will see signs for Paro International Airport on your left. The airport entrance is well-marked.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Paro. Start from the town center and pedal towards the Paro Dzong. Once at the Dzong, follow the same route as for walking. Proceed along Pachu Road for 1.5 kilometers, then take the left fork towards Airport Road. Continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. The airport will be on your left. Ensure you adhere to local traffic rules and be cautious of pedestrians.

• Local Bus

  If you prefer public transportation, go to the local bus station near Paro Dzong. Look for buses heading towards the airport. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask the driver to drop you off at Paro International Airport. The buses are usually reliable, but it’s best to check the schedule in advance as they may not run frequently.

• Taxi

  You can also hire a taxi from anywhere in Paro. Just ask your hotel or a local for a taxi service. The taxi will take you directly to Paro International Airport. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand. The drive should take around 10-15 minutes; the taxi will likely take the same route along Airport Road.
