Walking
Start your journey from the center of Thimphu, specifically from the Clock Tower Square, which is a central point in the city. Head south on Norzin Lam towards the Royal University of Bhutan. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with GPO Road. Turn left onto GPO Road and continue walking until you reach the roundabout near the National Memorial Chorten. From the roundabout, take the first exit onto Chorten Lam. Continue walking on Chorten Lam, and after about 15 minutes, you will arrive at the Kuensel Phodrang View Point, which is located at the end of Kuenselphodrang Road. The view point is a well-known spot for its stunning vistas over Thimphu and the Buddha Dordenma statue.

If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Thimphu. Start at the Clock Tower Square and bike down Norzin Lam. When you reach the intersection with GPO Road, turn left and continue towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Chorten Lam. Follow this road uphill for about 30 minutes until you reach Kuenselphodrang Road. The path can be steep, so be prepared for some uphill biking. Upon reaching the top, you will find the Kuensel Phodrang View Point, where you can enjoy the panoramic views.

For those looking for a more adventurous route, consider hiking to Kuensel Phodrang View Point. Begin your hike from the National Memorial Chorten. Follow the trail behind the chorten that leads up through the forest. The hike takes about 1 hour and is moderately challenging with some steep sections. Enjoy the natural surroundings as you make your way up. Once you reach the view point, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Thimphu and the surrounding mountains.
