Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, take the M17 highway from Sarajevo towards the direction of Bjelašnica. Continue on the M17 for approximately 30 kilometers until you see signs for Bjelašnica. Follow the signs and take the exit towards Bjelašnica. The road will lead you directly to the ski resort area and the main facilities. Parking is available at the resort, but be aware that during peak seasons, it may fill up quickly. A parking fee may apply, typically around 5 BAM (Bosnian Marks) for the day.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Bjelašnica via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Sarajevo to the 'Bjelašnica' bus station. Buses leave from the main bus station in Sarajevo (Autobuska Stanica). The journey takes approximately 45 minutes and costs around 5-7 BAM. Once you arrive at the Bjelašnica bus station, you can either walk to the main facilities (about 1 kilometer) or take a local taxi if you prefer not to walk. Taxis are readily available and should cost around 10 BAM for the short distance.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route or are traveling with a group, consider taking a taxi from Sarajevo directly to Bjelašnica. The taxi ride will take about 30 minutes and should cost between 30-50 BAM, depending on traffic and the time of day. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting your journey to avoid misunderstandings.

• Bike

  For the adventurous, biking to Bjelašnica is also an option. If you are starting from a nearby location within Bjelasnica Mountain, follow the marked biking trails. Be sure to check the local maps for the best routes. The trails vary in difficulty, so choose one that matches your skill level. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic views of the mountains but requires physical fitness and proper biking gear.
