Getting There

  • Taxi

    From Cruz Bay Ferry Dock, taxis are readily available. The taxi ride to the Caneel Bay area, near Turtle Bay Beach, typically costs around $9 per person. Confirm the rate with the driver before starting your journey. Note that taxis on St. John are not metered, and rates are per person.

  • Car

    If driving from Cruz Bay, head south on North Shore Road (Route 20). The entrance to Caneel Bay Resort is on your left. Note that Caneel Bay Resort is currently closed, but you can still access Turtle Bay Beach. Parking is available, but limited, near the beach. Be mindful of 'no parking' signs, as parking tickets can be steep, starting at $125.

  • Ferry and Taxi

    If arriving from St. Thomas, take the ferry from either Red Hook or Charlotte Amalie to Cruz Bay, St. John. The Red Hook ferry is more frequent and costs $8.15 per adult and $1 for children, plus $4 per bag. The Charlotte Amalie ferry costs $13 per adult and $3.50 per child, plus $4 per bag. From Cruz Bay, take a taxi to Turtle Bay Beach, which costs approximately $9 per person.
