Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Cruz Bay ferry dock, the Visitor Center is a short, approximately two-block walk north on Route 20. Follow the main road from the ferry dock, and the visitor center will be on your left. The walk is generally flat and takes about 5-10 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    The VITRAN bus provides service from the Cruz Bay ferry dock along Centerline Road. The bus picks up passengers approximately 15 minutes after the hour at the Cruz Bay ferry dock. The regular fare is $1.00. However, the VITRAN bus does not travel along the North Shore Road.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available at the Cruz Bay ferry dock. A taxi to the Visitor Center is a short ride within Cruz Bay. Taxi rates are per person and typically start at $6.00 per person for destinations within Cruz Bay. Confirm the rate with the driver before starting your trip.

  • Parking

    Free parking is available at the National Park Visitor's Center, but spaces are limited. Additional paid parking lots are located in Cruz Bay, including the Gravel Lot near the car barge and Slim Man's Parking. Rates at El Gissmo and Slim Man's are around $5 per hour, $15 for 2 hours, $25 for 4 hours, or $50 for all day. Be aware that parking in Cruz Bay can be challenging, especially during high season.
