Discover more about Honeymoon Beach

Honeymoon Beach is a picturesque beach located on the north shore of St. John, in the US Virgin Islands. Known for its soft, white sand and clear, turquoise waters, it's an ideal spot for swimming, wading, and snorkeling. The beach offers stunning panoramic views, including St. Thomas and nearby islands. Honeymoon Beach is part of the Virgin Islands National Park, ensuring its preservation and natural beauty. It's one of the seven beaches that once comprised the Caneel Bay Resort. The beach is accessible via hiking trails through the national park or by boat. The waters at Honeymoon Beach are generally calm and clear, resembling a swimming pool. The sandy entrance into the water gradually deepens, making it suitable for all ages. Snorkeling enthusiasts can explore the reef on the western side of the beach, near the rocky point separating Honeymoon Beach from Salomon Bay. Another reef lies to the east, closer to Caneel Bay. These reefs are home to diverse marine life, including colorful fish, corals, and occasionally sea turtles and rays. While Hurricane Maria in 2017 impacted the landscape, Honeymoon Beach remains stunning, with some of the last remaining leaning palm trees. The Caneel Bay Beach Club provides amenities such as food, drinks, beach chair rentals, and watersports equipment.
