If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Samokov. Head southwest on the E79 highway towards Beli Iskar. After approximately 10 km, take the exit toward Rila Monastery. Continue on the road for about 15 km until you reach the Rila Monastery area. From the monastery, follow the signs towards Musala Peak. The road becomes a gravel path, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for such terrain. After roughly 5 km, you will reach a parking area near the trailhead. Park your car here (note: there may be a small parking fee). From the parking area, follow the marked hiking trail leading to the viewpoint of Панорамна гледка към планината Рила и връх Мусала, which is approximately a 3-hour hike with stunning views along the way.

Public Transportation
For those taking public transportation, begin your journey in Sofia. Take a bus from Sofia Central Bus Station to Samokov (approximately 1 hour). Upon arriving in Samokov, transfer to a local bus heading to Rila Monastery, which runs several times a day (check the local schedule for exact times). The bus journey to the monastery takes about 30 minutes. Once at Rila Monastery, you can either hike from there (following the same path as described for car travelers) or look for local taxis that can take you to the parking area near the trailhead for Панорамна гледка към планината Рила и връх Мусала. Be prepared for additional costs for the taxi, and remember to negotiate the fare beforehand.

Once you reach the trailhead after parking or being dropped off, follow the clearly marked trail towards Musala Peak.
