Car
From Praia Baixo, head northeast on the main road (R. da Praia) towards the city of Assomada. Follow the signs to Assomada and continue for about 14 km. Once you reach Assomada, take a left onto the road heading towards Serra do Pico da Antónia. Follow this road for approximately 6 km until you reach the entrance to the Important Bird Area. Parking may be limited, so look for available spaces along the road.

Public Transportation
From Praia Baixo, take a local 'aluguer' (shared taxi) to Assomada. The fare is typically around 100 CVE (Cabo Verdean Escudos). Once in Assomada, you will need to find another 'aluguer' heading towards Serra do Pico da Antónia. The second leg of your journey may cost an additional 150-200 CVE. Ensure to ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of the Important Bird Area.

If you prefer to hike, after reaching Assomada, you can walk towards Serra do Pico da Antónia from the town. It is about a 6 km hike uphill on a marked trail.
