If you prefer public transportation, take a local mini-bus (known as 'almond') from Fogo to São Filipe, which costs around 100 CVE. Upon reaching São Filipe, walk to the ferry terminal to catch a ferry to Santiago. The ferry ticket costs approximately 500 CVE. After arriving in Praia, you can use local taxis or the public bus system to explore Santiago. Be sure to ask about the bus schedules to plan your journey accordingly.
