Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Espargos, head south on Avenida Amílcar Cabral. Walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua 5 de Julho. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach another roundabout. Take the second exit to stay on Rua 5 de Julho. Follow this road until it ends at the beachfront, where you will find Praia de Santa Maria.

• Bicycle rental

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Espargos. Start at the main square and head south on Avenida Amílcar Cabral. Once you reach the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua 5 de Julho. Continue cycling along this road for about 1 kilometer until you arrive at the beachfront. Praia de Santa Maria will be right in front of you.

• Public Bus

  Catch a local bus from Espargos to Santa Maria. Buses frequently leave from the main bus terminal in Espargos. Ask the driver to drop you off at the last stop in Santa Maria. After disembarking, walk towards the beach and you will find Praia de Santa Maria just a short distance away.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from Espargos to Praia de Santa Maria. Simply find a taxi at any designated taxi stand in Espargos. Inform the driver you want to go to Praia de Santa Maria, and they will take you directly there.
