You will pass by several restaurants and shops. Keep walking straight until you see the large resort complex of Melia Tortuga on your left. The entrance is clearly marked.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from the center of Santa Maria. Start by heading east along Avenida 5 de Julho, then turn left onto the beachfront path. Cycle along the promenade enjoying the views of the ocean. Keep an eye out for the Melia Tortuga resort on your left. It's a short ride, approximately 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.
