Getting There

• Bus

  If you are starting from the Big Sur Campground and Cabins, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the campground entrance. Catch the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) Bus Line 22 heading south towards Big Sur. After approximately 15 minutes, disembark at the stop closest to Andrew Molera State Park, which is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Head east on CA-1 and follow the signs to the park entrance.

• Bicycle

  From the Big Sur Village area, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Once you have your bike, head south on CA-1. It’s approximately a 3-mile ride to Andrew Molera State Park. Be cautious of traffic, as this road can be busy. Look for the park's entrance sign on your right-hand side. There are bike racks available at the park.

• Walking

  If you are near the Big Sur River Inn, you can take a scenic walk to Andrew Molera State Park. Start by heading south on the walking trail adjacent to the river. Continue on this trail for about 2 miles, which will lead you directly to the park. As you approach, you will cross CA-1; the park entrance will be directly ahead.

• Shuttle

  During peak tourist season, there are shuttle services that operate in the area. Check with local visitor centers for current shuttle schedules that connect various attractions, including Andrew Molera State Park. If a shuttle is available, board it from a designated stop in Big Sur and get off at the park entrance.
