Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the central area of Big Sur, start at the Big Sur River Inn. Head south on CA-1 (Pacific Coast Highway) for about 1.5 miles. You will see the entrance to Point Sur State Historic Park on your right. The park is located on the coast, and you will be able to see the lighthouse from the highway.

    From the Big Sur Village, head south on CA-1. There are bike lanes available, but always be cautious of vehicle traffic.
