    From the center of Carmel-by-the-Sea, start at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and San Carlos Street. Head southeast on Ocean Avenue towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Mission Street, then turn left onto Mission Street. Follow Mission Street north until you reach the intersection with Pacific Street. Turn right onto Pacific Street, and continue walking until you reach 580 Pacific St, Monterey, CA 93940. The Old Monterey Jail will be on your left.
