    From Castro Valley, walk to the nearest bus stop (e.g., Castro Valley BART station). Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Embarcadero station. Transfer to the Muni Metro at Embarcadero Station, taking the T-Third line towards Sunnydale. Get off at the Bayview-Hunters Point stop. From there, walk to the nearby bus stop and catch the 76 or 29 bus towards the Presidio. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Marine Dr & Fort Point' stop. From there, it's a short walk to Fort Point National Historic Site at 201 Marine Dr.

    If you are near the Castro Valley BART station, walk to the nearby bus stop and take the 29 bus towards the Presidio. This bus will take you directly towards the area of Fort Point. Once you get off at 'Marine Dr & Fort Point', follow Marine Drive, and you will see Fort Point National Historic Site ahead. It’s about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

  • Bicycle

    If you are renting a bike in Castro Valley, head towards the San Francisco Bay Trail. Follow the trail north which will take you through parks and along the waterfront. Continue on the trail until you reach the Presidio area. Once in the Presidio, navigate to Marine Drive, where Fort Point is located. It’s a scenic route, but it may take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
